Dandaragan Organic Beef at Margaret River Gourmet Escape
The great taste of Dandaragan Organic Beef was on show at the inaugural Margaret River Gourmet Escape in November. Our stall at the festival's Gourmet Village, which was held at Leeuwin Escape, was kept very busy as we chatted to people about organic beef and our commitment to ethical production. Our steady supply of roast beef samples drew in a crowd and won over many people. Some said it was the best beef they had ever tasted. We also ran a competition to win a $250 family pack of Dandaragan Organic Beef, which will be drawn soon. Results will be posted here on our website.
Our farm revegetation program is in full swing. We recently planted 4000 trees along a creek line on Noondel and are in the process of fencing off the area. I have noticed that with the increased vegetation on the farm we are beginning to see native birds and wildlife return so hopefully this latest tree planting project will further boost the biodiversity on our farm.
Finally Dandaragan Organic Beef was recognised as a finalist in the Regional Achievement & Community Award. We were among the top three finalists in Country Housing Authority Primary Producer of the Year Award.
